Ryan budget plan would dismantle health coverage

The U.S. House is expected to vote this week on a 2012 budget "blueprint" that would dramatically reduce the federal government's role in health coverage and other supports for        low-income, elderly and disabled Americans. The proposal, titled "Path to Prosperity," also would make permanent the Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy and reduce the top rate for individual income tax from 35 percent to 25 percent, with no provision for additional revenue.
